What would happen to my body on 400 calories a day?

Being on low calorie diet can cause dangerous side-effects. Any diet that restricts your calorie intake to 800 calories a day( or little less) comes into the category of being very low-calorie  diet. It may consist of a liquid diet that includes like shakes, juices, soups regularly as a meal replacement.

The side-effects of these diets include:

1)Fatigue Nausea,

2) constipation and/or diarrhoea

3) Gallstones

4) Heart problems

5) Anaemia

6) Loss of lean muscle mass

7) Gout

8) Electrolyte imbalances
